Description
Intellego Kedungu Red Blend:
Inspired by an epic surfing trip while having loads of fun, still with a “babbelas”, this wine was born as a combination of different characters from the Swartland terroir and its diverse micro climate.
Syrah, the backbone of this blend, contributes to the structure and freshness of the wine. Cinsaut adds a lovely mid palate and vibrance with loads of red fruits. Mourvedre are known for great tannin structure and depth as well as darker fruit.
Mother Rock Force Majeure Chenin Blanc
This Chenin is all about fruit purity and freshness. Grapes are sourced from a single vineyard with 32 year-old dry farmed bush vines in the heart of the Swartland. The winemaking is low intervention aiming at letting the fruit shine through. A beautifully made wine at an accessible price.
Joostenburg Family Blend (red blend)
The grapes were hand-picked, de-stemmed, lightly crushed and then fermented in small open-topped tanks. The varietals were harvested and fermented separately. After 10 months maturation in a combination of seasoned oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, the various batches were blended and the wine was bottled. Leeuwenkuil Reserve White Blend
This is a vintage blend of the best whites Leeuwenkuil produces from the Swartland region. 2018 has a delicate nose of white blossoms, apple and just a hint of pepper. The palate offers ripe peach and tangy pineapple flavour with an intriguing underlying chalky minerality which lingers on the finish. 80% Chenin Blanc, 20% blend of: Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Verdelho, Clairette, Chardonnay, Colombar, Viognier.
Glenelly Glass Collection Cabernet Sauvignon
This Youthful classic Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon displays all the characteristics of the Simonsberg. Black and red fruit and very pure, with blackcurrant Pastille fruit, tangy acidity and the fine tannins that are the hallmark of the Glass Collection wines.
Trizanne TSW Sauvignon Blanc
Vibrant and fresh nose of crushed rocks, ripe pear and yellow gooseberry. Quite energetic on the palate which builds and has more profundity than one may first realise. Walks the tightrope between bracing Elim freshness and ripe fruit brilliantly. Finishes on a dry, clean and very classy note.
